Damage done at Ottawa Kansas Airport August 26th 1998

Please be patient these images may take a long time to load. (40 images)
These pictures are of four aircraft, The first two shown were tied down side by side on the line. It appears that the first was pulled away from the tiedowns and caused the damage to the second. (7 more)
The third and fourth aircraft pictured (Landing gear collapsed) were at Dodson aircraft being rebuilt or worked on, (Guess they will need more now) There also was a DC 3 damaged however i appologize for not getting the picture. I will add more later.
Wind speeds were estimated between 70 to 85 MPH,  Some say it was more.
Approximately 3 miles due south of the airport is the small town of Princeton Kansas. Population approx 300. A number of trees down (uprooted) and lots of damage. estimate of at least four barns missing in action. one roof gone. Numerous roofs damaged. (Princenton Ks)
Damage estimates ranging from 300,000 to 1.3 million have been discussed. But who really knowns when you add up the cost of all the services and volunteers just what the damage really was.  All pictures were taken with a low resolution Casio QV-11
