| I traveled to New York on the 5th of April just after 911 and was fortunate enough to work at the Salvation Army site at the World Trade Center Location. On the last day of my stay there I was allowed to walk the outside of the work area. On this site are links to various pictures I took while visiting the locations. Please do not copy and re-post these on your web site. If you wish you can link to mine. If anyone from the Salvation Army, fire department or any educational department wishes to use these pictures, they are welcome to copy and use as they please, As with out them I would not have had the experience of helping in New York. The experience was remarkable, I have been a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years, I needed to go and help just to have closure. I felt a little ashamed as I was doing this as much for my heart as I was to help other people. Please don't think any less of me for it. The pictures on this site are what I have taken or have been sent. The ones labeled Site Photo are of the "pit" 16 acres of construction work and recovery. I stayed in NewYork a little over a week, I took 66 pictures total. |
